A loop too close to a sprinkler line

The planned gate position would have placed the loop detector, the underground vehicle-sensing coil that triggers automatic exit, within 18 inches of a sprinkler line junction. That close, irrigation vibration can cause false triggers. We moved the loop seven feet back and tied it into the operator board correctly.

How we execute a full access control installation

Intercom wiring runs through dedicated conduit, never bundled with operator power. The intercom unit mounts on a custom bracket positioned for correct camera angle. Keypad and RFID reader units install at driver-accessible height, confirmed by a vehicle test before final mounting.

Loop detector and system integration
The loop detector buries at the correct setback distance from the gate operator board, typically 10 to 15 feet back depending on vehicle approach speed. We tie the detector to the access control relay so exiting vehicles trigger the gate automatically, and install an exit button as backup.

Programming and app configuration
Every user code loads individually, with no default codes left active. Smartphone apps pair to the intercom unit on site, and we walk the property owner through the full app interface, adding users, reviewing entry logs, triggering the gate remotely, before we leave.
